Similar to WR Kaden Davis, who the Lions signed after being a tryout player at the Lions Rookie Minicamp, Parker Hesse also already beat the odds with the Lions.
On Offense, the Lions probably view Parker Hesse as mostly as a blocking TE. Unlike Kaden Davis, who never was on an NFL 53 man roster, Hesse has NFL regular season game experience. While Hesse has an uphill battle to be on the Lions opening day roster, if he performs well on Special Teams this summer, and the Lions prioritize blocking for the final TE position, Hesse could beat the odds again. If Hesse isn't successful at landing an opening day roster spot, he should be in the mix for a Practice Squad opportunity with the Lions. This, providing that Hesse lasts with the Lions through the final pre-season game.
