The good news moving forward is Kerryon Johnson shouldn't have any limitations entering the Lions off-season and conditioning program in April.

The Lions made the right decision shutting Kerryon Johnson down for the 2018 season once the team was eliminated from the Lions in the one point loss at Buffalo in Game # 14. Johnson is definitely an enormous building block for the Lions. Whether he can stay relatively healthy the vast majority of the time moving forward is the only question mark that jumps out with him.  He's a complete RB when relatively healthy but he's not suited to be a bell cow RB game in, game out.

I was/am greatly in favor of the decision to end Kerryon Johnson’s season when the Lions did. I said it at the time; and still believe it to be true. The risk vs reward factor was just too big.

I completely agree with you. Any potential benefit of Kerryon Johnson playing in one or both of the remaining games was far less than the risk of him playing.

Being compared to Curtis Martin, especially by another HOF RB, is quite a compliment for Kerryon Johnson. From a comparison standpoint, it doesn't get much better than that.

Because of Kerry Johnson's work ethic and his natural playing instincts, I'm optimistic that he will make the necessary adjustments now that the opposing teams have 10 regular season games of tape from Johnson's rookie season.

Though Kerryon Johnson could have potential benefitted by playing more in the pre-season ( he only had 5 rushing carries and 1 reception ) I'm not going to question the decision to limit Johnson in the pre-season. That much more with Johnson's injury history.

Darren Sproles is nothing short of amazing. No one back in 2005 could have even dreamed that Sproles would still be playing in the NFL in 2019. At a winning level on top of everything!

It's not often that a 22 year old is the longest tenured player at a position for an NFL team. I wonder if it ever happened before???
