Steelers could be looking to move up into top 10
……………………………
As tempting as trading down to pick # 20 is, I'm concerned that the drop off in talent that far down will be too much. I'm not sold on Byron Murphy at # 20 because of his size and speed being below average for an outside CB. If the Lions trade down to pick # 20, the trade compensation from the Steelers clearly needs to be favorable for the Lions.

Report: Jets looking to move into second round
…………
I hope the Lions explore a trade down with the Jets. There should be a viable CB and Safety option with pick # 68 in Round 3 to make it worthwhile for the Lions to trade down. WR is another position where value should be present at # 68.

Saints remain willing to use future picks in draft deals
…….
This strategy worked out well for the Lions under Bob Quinn in 2018, with the trade with the Patriots, in order to draft DT-DE Da'Shawn Hand. However, the strategy didn't work out well for the Lions when Martin Mayhew traded with the Eagles in 2015, in order to draft DT Gabe Wright.
