L.J. Collier would be a good fit for the Lions in terms of football character and skill set/ versatility. He has long arms for his size. I can envision Collier being used as DE in base Defenses and early Downs. Then being used as a DT in expected passing / Nickel situations.
İdeally, the Lions will have a better option in Round 2 because the Lions have good options for the roles Collier would play for the Lions. Depth is certainly important. That much more on the Defensive Line. Yet, the Lions have more glaring needs at this time than what Collier would provide.
If Collier lasts to the Lions pick in Round 3, he easily could be too good of a prospect to pass up.
