With Michael Badgley going 6 for 6 on PAT attempts, his only Kicks in the Broncos game and the need to make room on the 53 man roster for Hendon Hooker, it's not surprising that the Lions decided to release Riley Patterson.
If Patterson isn't claimed off waivers, I think the Lions will attempt to sign him to the Practice Squad.
Badgley can be elevated from the P.S. for 2 more games. It's hard to predict what the Lions injury situation will be in the next two weeks, before the Lions have to make a decision on how to proceed at Kicker.
