PFT’s Week 13 2023 NFL picks, Florio vs. Simms
Lions (-4) at Saints
Both of these teams need to wake up, before it’s too late.
Florio: Lions, 27-20.
Simms: Lions, 27-24.
.............
Urgency should be a primary theme in this game. A win for the Lions would go a long way in the Lions going on to win the NFC North Title, with at least the # 3 seed. A loss by the Lions would open the door for the Vikings and Packers in the NFC North Race.

Predicting the Saints' 6 remaining games and final record
Lions 27, Saints 17 (5-7)
The Saints could take advantage of a vulnerable Lions pass defense — if their receivers were healthy. But they’re going to be without Michael Thomas, Chris Olave, and likely Rashid Shaheed for this game. Detroit’s offense is looking to rebound after a tough loss. Jared Goff is liable to turn the ball over, but Derek Carr hasn’t shown he can take advantage of those opportunities. Ben Johnson calls plays against a defense derived from Dennis Allen’s scheme every day in practice. This could get ugly.
............
Chris Olave practiced on a limited basis yesterday. It remains to be seen if Olave will be cleared to play, after suffering a concussion this past Sunday in Atlanta.

Dennis Allen won't blame Saints' red zone problems on Derek Carr
.........
The Lions can't afford to let Derek Carr and his teammates gain confidence. The Lions gave up a TD on the first drive by the Bears and by the Packers. The Saints haven't had a TD on their first possession in their first 11 games this season. The Lions need to make it the Saints first 12 games.

Final score predictions for New Orleans Saints vs. Detroit Lions in Week 13
...........
The consensus of Saints fans and Saints fans that cover the team have been very negative about the Saints all week. The Lions can't afford to take the Saints lightly at all. That much more, with the Saints coming off a loss in Atlanta against arguably their # 1 rival, the Saints being back in their Dome, and the very realistic possibility that they will be taking a Saints vs. Everyone approach, tomorrow.

Detroit Lions vs. New Orleans Saints: Dave Birkett's scouting report, prediction ..........
With CB Marshon Lattimore on IR and S Marcus Maye out with a shoulder injury, the Saints are shorthanded in their Secondary. With Jonah Jackson probably back for this game and the Saints not being one of the better pass rush teams in the NFL, this is a good opportunity for Jared Goff and the Lions passing game to get back on track. A major concern though would be the crowd noise factor, if the Saints give their fans reasons to be loud.

Saints vs. Lions: 4 defining matchups to watch in Week 13 game
..........
Alex Anzalone and Pete Werner are out because of injury.
The Saints have a long history, being at least with the Sean Payton era, of using chip blocking to slow down edge rushers. I'm anticipating they will use that strategy against Aidan Hutchinson.
