Lions Defensive Line situation ( 2022 season )
The Lions should be able to go into the regular season with the current mix of DEs/ Edge Players to choose from.
The Lions DT situation has plenty of upside. But so much depends on the health of Levi Onwuzurike, the overall health of the unit, and how Brodric Martin is progressing.?
My impression was the Lions were able to get substantially more pressure at Kansas City than was the case vs. Seattle. Not having Josh Paschal and then losing James Houston during the Seahawks game, took its toll on the Lions Defense. Including, the Aidan Hutchinson being on the field for the vast majority of the Lions Defensive Snaps.
An X factor is current Lions Practice Squad player DE Raymond Johnson III, who had a strong pre-season with the Bengals. It will be interesting to see if the Lions either sign Johnson from the PS, using the current open roster spot, elevate him from the PS for the Falcons game, or decide to go with the current edge rush possibilities on the now 52 man roster?
