Adrian Martinez measured 6-1 7/8" at his Pro Day, which was significantly shorter than the 6-3" he was previously listed at. He weighed 221 at his Pro Day, with an impressive 4.51 40 and a 36" vertical jump. Martinez is more athletic than most QBs.
Realistically, Martinez' long term upside is being a # 2 QB in the NFL. Martinez would probably benefit playing in the XFL or USFL, being that the NFL currently doesn't have a developmental league.
I would be surprised if Martinez is drafted. I'm not anticipating the Lions drafting him, especially since the Lions currently don't have a 7th Round Pick. As long as the Lions draft a QB who has a better chance of being at least a long term good # 2 QB option, I would be comfortable if the Lions sign Martinez as an UDRFA.
