Al Woods visited Lions
………………….
Al Woods is in essence a run Defending early downs/ short yardage DT/ NT. He turns 32 today. If the Lions sign him, it should be at or near the NFL Veteran Minimum.

I’d be OK with this IF, as you suggested, it was at or near the NFL minimum. Al Woods would be a good-to-great addition to the rush defense; but probably wouldn’t even be on the field in obvious passing downs.

Joe, this is basically my take.
If the contract would be at or near the level it should be, Al Woods would need to demonstrate that he deserves a spot on the Lions 53 man roster.

Al Woods signs with Seahawks
……………
Once the Lions signed DT Darius Kilgo earlier this month, it was doubtful Al Woods was going to end up with the Lions this off-season.
