The Lions probably will need to be in the plus category again, in this ultra-important NFL stat, to have a very realistic chance at pulling off an upset over the Packers for the 2nd time this season.

The Packers beat the Lions 30-20 in the 2014 season finale at Lambeau Field. This game was for the NFC North Title, with the losing team being a Wild Card team. S Micah Hyde, who is currently a starting Safety with the Bills, ran back a 1st QTR Punt 55 yards to give the Packers a 7-0 lead, following the PAT by Mason Crosby. The Lions never led in this game and only once, tied the game (at 14-14).

The loss of Jeff Okudah is very concerning, both for the Lions Defense and Special Teams. With Mike Hughes now being needed for a full time role or close to that at CB and Okudah not being available, someone is going to have to step up on Special Teams Coverage.

My prediction is Packers 31, Lions 27. The Lions are certainly capable of winning this game and that's what the expectation should be. From a prediction standpoint, the Packers are favorite to win for valid reasons. Including, the loss of Okudah. The Lions can't afford any more injuries at CB.
