The Lions brass has seen Demetrius Taylor a couple of additional months in practice and likely determined that Taylor's upside isn't high enough to keep him on the 53 man roster at this time. Having said that, it's very likely will try to sign Taylor to the Practice Squad, if he clears waivers. Because Taylor was released yesterday (Thursday), it's less likely he will be claimed off waivers, with most teams getting their rosters ready for upcoming games on Sunday.
