PFT’s Week 7 2022 NFL picks
Lions (+7) at Cowboys
MDS’s take: Dak Prescott returns against a terrible Lions defense. Should be a nice way to ease himself back into it.
MDS’s pick: Cowboys 30, Lions 20.
Florio’s take: Dak is back, and the Cowboys are ready to reel off some more wins. It could be a long day for Jared Goff.
Florio’s pick: Cowboys 34, Lions 21.

Unless Dark Prescott is rusty after being out of game action since September 11 and that leads to opportunities the Lions take advantage of, a double digit win by the Cowboys (not counting a late TD by the Lions in a game that's lost) is the likely outcome. This is a game in which the Lions Defense and Special Teams are going to need to substantially help the Lions Offense. |

Predictions: Detroit Lions at Dallas Cowboys

Realistically, for the Lions to win the game, the Lions Defense is going to have to play by far their best game through this point of the season. I don't think the Lions Offense is going to be able to generate enough points without plenty of help from the Lions Defense and Special Teams, combined.

The Lions are down to 5.4 yards per rushing carry, which is still an impressive number. However, the Lions are giving up 5.5 yards per carry.
The Cowboys pass rush is much more than Micah Parsons. DeMarcus Lawrence and Dorance Armstrong are also having a huge positive impact for the Cowboys as pass rushers. Armstrong looks like a much better pass rusher this season than in past seasons. Dante Fowler is another Cowboys edge rusher who has boosted their pass rush.

The most difficult aspect of making DT Michael Brockers Inactive for the game is that Brockers is a Team Captain well respected by his teammates and coaches. Including, Brockers accomplishments and contributions as a player over the years.
