With the Lions injury situation at WR going to be problematic to at least some extent after the bye, Maurice Alexander probably will have an opportunity on the Lions 53 man roster, beyond tomorrow's game at New England. Hence, the decision to sign him from the P.S., instead of elevating him from the P.S. for the 2nd straight game.

A.J. Parker probably earned the promotion based on his practice play during the regular season. He could seriously challenge Mike Hughes for the primary Nickel CB job.

Saivion Smith will likely be used extensively on Special Teams tomorrow at New England and could see some snaps at Outside CB (depending on what transpires with other outside CBs on the roster).

Michael Badgley has the opportunity to earn a spot on the Lions 53 man roster with a strong performance at New England.

Michael Badgley has a career FG % of 81.3%, but is only 30% (3 for 10) on FGs 50 yards or longer. Badgley has a career 96.1% on successful PATs. Time will tell how Badgley will do with his opportunity with the Lions. He's an option that makes sense giving an opportunity to.
