I think the most likely outcome is that Jermar Jefferson will clear waivers (At least a 70 % chance this will happen) and then sign a Practice Squad Contract with the Lions later on Thursday.

It's possible, not probable the Lions will re-sign Jefferson to the 53 man roster on Thursday or soon after and place a player on Short Term IR as the corresponding roster move.
