It would make sense for the Lions to hold off releasing David Blough until knowing that Tim Boyle clears waivers. The Lions need to substantially increase the chances of having a QB on the Practice Squad who is familiar with the Lions Offensive system, as the newly added QB becomes familiar with the Lions system, and his new Offensive player supporting cast.
In that thread, I posted information about David Blough signing with the Vikings. Being that Blough was released after the Lions 53 man roster was set, I inadvertently put information on Blough in that thread.
With the Vikings the Lions next opponent, David Blough's internal knowledge about the Lions Offense, players, and coaches is something additional the Lions need to prepare for this week. For both teams, it will be a form of a cat and mouse game.
