Lions DC Aaron Glenn lays out how they'll handle the Dolphins speed at WR
.........
Unlike in most games this season, the Lions are going to need to defend the run without a Safety in or near the box. The Lions need to keep both Safeties back much more often than not to help prevent Dolphins WRs Tyreek Hill and Jaylen Waddle from getting over the top. As well as help in trying to prevent long runs /TDs after the catch.

Lions DC Aaron Glenn wants his defense to focus on tackling vs. the Jets

Lions 34, Vikings 23: Game # 13 (2022)
detroit-lions-forum.proboards.com/thread/1627/lions-34-vikings-game-2022
The Lions got a huge break when Vikings WR Justin Jefferson was ruled out of bounds at the Detroit 32 yd line, on a reception that went for 39 yards with 3:41 remaining in the 4th QTR. I'm not sure that Jefferson was out of bounds. It was close either way. On that play, the Lions tackling was worse than it has been in quite a while this season. That play very likely got Aaron Glenn's attention, as he gets ready to face the Jets, the team that drafted him in Round 1 of the 1994 Draft. Thankfully, the Lions can use the play as a learning tool, coming off a win.

Lions’ Glenn shares vivid memories, lasting impact of Reggie Brown’s career-ending injury
........
This thread relates to the following thread:
Bills S Damar Hamlin in Critical Condition in Cincinnati
detroit-lions-forum.proboards.com/thread/1645/bills-hamlin-critical-condition-cincinnati
Under the circumstance of Damar Hamlin's life threatening injury, I'm glad that Aaron Glenn spoke his friendship with Reggie Brown. And what Glenn experienced during the game Reggie Brown suffered a life threatening neck injury and his communications with Brown over the years since.
The Lions game against the Jets, Game # 16 in the 1997 season, was the loudest crowd I was ever in. When Reggie Brown suffered the neck injury, within a few minutes, one could hear a pin drop. Thankfully, Reggie pulled through. Amazingly, the crowd noise became very loud again, especially when Barry Sanders had a long run near the 2 minute warning. A run that put Barry over 2000 rushing yards for the season and all but officially clinched a Lions win over the Jets (by a score of 13-10) to secure a Wild Card Playoff Berth for the Lions. It was a WIN and IN game for the winner, with the losing team not making the playoffs.
Thankfully, Reggie Brown has been able to live a normal life outside of playing football again. The Lions lost a foundation player but much more importantly, Reggie Brown survived, and recovered as well as anyone could have realistically hoped for. Hopefully, this will be the case with Damar Hamlin.
