Jeff Okudah shows off his hops and recovery progress
.........
It still wouldn't be surprising if the Lions decide to put Jeff Okudah on the PUP List to begin training camp. Then assess Okudah each day to see if he's ready for Practice. Even if Okudah isn't on the PUP List to begin training camp, I think he's going to be limited by the coaches and medical/ training staffs, at least early in training camp.

Jeff Okudah off to a great start in rewriting his Detroit Lions career
..........
Excellent start to training camp for Jeff Okudah. He's far ahead of where I thought he would be at this point of training camp, when learning of Okudah suffering a torn Achilles' in the 2021 season opener vs. the 49ers. The key moving forward for Okudah is him remaining relatively healthy much more often than not.

Steelers 19, Lions 9 : Pre-Season Game # 3 ( 2022 )

Jeff Okudah's recovery from a torn Achilles Tendon in the 2021 regular season opener vs. the 49ers is probably the best Lions story this summer. In Pittsburgh yesterday afternoon, Okudah earned the starting LCB job. Okudah broke up a 3rd Down pass that would have been a TD if it was a completion. Okudah's play against the run and tackling continue to be a strength of his this summer.
I still believe that it would be best not to give Okudah a full workload at the beginning of the regular season, when considering the severity of a Torn Achilles. Okudah hasn't come close to playing a full game since the injury. With Will Harris available to handle some of the outside CB snaps, the Lions have the flexibility to let Okudah get to a full CB load in stages.
