I see Detroit Lions having 4 options with No. 2 pick in 2022 NFL draft. Here they are
.......
One of the edge players that Dave Birkett mentioned in the article, along with Kyle Hamilton, is the player the Lions will likely select with pick # 2, if the Lions remain in the # 2 spot. Malik Willis is possible but IMHO, less likely. I don't think the Lions will be drafting an Offensive Lineman with pick # 2 or in a trade down from pick # 2.
Ideally, the Lions will get an offer that makes it worth trading down from pick # 2. I'm not counting on it.
I'm far from certain that Aidan Hutchinson is the Lions best option in the draft, even if he's available with pick # 2. I hope the Lions don't trade up for him or any other player. If the Lions do trade up, anything more given up than a Day 3 pick would be too much, based on there's no clear cut # 1 player in this draft.

4 thoughts about what will and won't happen for the Detroit Lions in the 2022 NFL draft .....
Florida St. DE /Edge Jermaine Johnson also seems like a possibility for the Lions with pick # 2 ( or in a trade down ).
I don't think Sauce Gardner will be the Lions choice with pick # 2. Yet, it can't be ruled out. The Lions did bring in Gardner for a Pre-Draft visit or plan on doing so.
If Travon Walker is seriously in the mix for the Lions with pick # 2 (which I believe is the case), a DT (interior Defensive Lineman) would very likely be a strongly considered by the Lions with pick # 32. The Lions need another interior pass rushing option. If the Lions draft Walker, many of his snaps will be in the interior.
If there's value on the Lions draft board on Day 2 (even with pick # 32), an Off the Ball LB is a realistic possibility. The Lions have more questions than answers at the Off the Ball LB positions.

QB or not, Brad Holmes looking for “a game-changer” at No. 2
............
Two thoughts come to mind:
1. In the quote, Brad Holmes mentioned 'game-changer' but he didn't say anything about the 2022 season. Hence, a long term 'game-changer' at the QB position could be in play with pick # 2, if Brad Holmes and Dan Campbell believe there is a QB in this draft that fits this description and that they determine he's a better option than using the pick # 2 draft resource in a different manner.
2. Brad Holmes is trying to maximize the trade value of pick # 2. His comment fits that objective.

Daniel Jeremiah: Aidan Hutchinson is a 'run the card up' choice for the Lions at No. 2 ............
Derek Stingley Jr. could turn out be one of the steals of the 2022 Draft, if he drops out of the top 10 and goes on to have an NFL career that reflects his 2019 season with LSU. The major concern is health, based on the last two seasons. Especially, with the question mark of Jeff Okudah coming off a torn Achilles. With pick # 2, the risk of taking Stingley seems too high. If the Lions trade down and then select Stingley, I will view the decision more favorably. At least, that would lessen the risk of drafting Stingley.

NFL mock draft 4.0: Aidan Hutchinson goes No. 1, Detroit Lions land next best talent ........
Kayvon Thibodeaux could very realistically be the Lions pick at # 2. My guess at this time though is Travon Walker would be taken over Thibodeaux by the Lions, if Aidan Hutchinson is taken with pick # 1. While Thibodeaux has a great track record as an edge rusher, Walker has more versatility, a better fit for Dan Campbell's program from a cultural standpoint, and arguably more overall ability.
Quay Walker is also my current projection for the Lions at # 32, based on how I believe the first 31 picks will go in my Mock Draft that I'm putting together. Much like in Dave Birkett's Mock Draft, I'm not projecting trades either.
I don't think Washington and Tennessee are drafting QBs in Round 1. That much more, Tennessee, being that they are a legit Super Bowl contender and need to get more immediate value with the pick # 26 draft resource.
I would be very surprised if Charles Cross lasts to pick # 17.
Pick # 30 is the highest I've seen Drake Jackson being taken in quite a while.

PFT’s one and only 2022 NFL mock draft ....
I would be surprised if Kayvon Thibodaux falls to pick # 10.
Kenny Pickett isn't DeShaun Watson.
Devonte Wyatt, Quay Walker, Travis Jones, Lewis Cine, Jaquan Brisker, and Christian Watson come to mind as better pick # 32 available options for the Lions in this Mock Draft than Matt Corral.

Justin Rogers’ 2022 NFL mock draft 3.
..........
Morgan Moses is no longer with the Jets. The Ravens signed him as an UFA. While an Offensive Tackle is a realistic possibility for the Jets with pick # 4, I think they will take a CB or Edge Player upfront on Defense, with that pick. Those needs are greater than Offensive Tackle for the Jets and there's viable options with pick # 4 at CB and Edge.
Pick # 17 (LA Chargers) is the highest I've seen Travis Jones going in a MocK Draft. Jones would be well worth considering by the Lions, if available at # 32 or # 34.
The Colts likely won't trade up into the 1st Round for a QB, as their window with Matt Ryan is relatively small.
While Lewis Cine is my Lions projection with pick # 34, if Michigan S-CB Daxton Hill is available with pick # 32, I think the Lions should take him.
I believe the Lions would take Quay Walker over Nakobe Dean because of the huge size difference.

If I were Detroit Lions GM Brad Holmes, my top pick would be Kayvon Thibodeaux. Here’s why April 27, 2022 ..........
I agree that it's likely Aidan Hutchinson won't turn out to the best Defensive player in this draft. Having said that, Hutchinson has a high floor and he fits the Lions from a football culture standpoint.
A solid case can be made for the 4 consensus highest rated Edge Defensive Players in this draft and the same can be said about CB Ahmad 'Sauce' Gardner. If the Lions remain at pick # 2 and select any of these 5 players, I will be comfortable with the decision.

Three scenarios for Detroit Lions’ early picks: How NFL draft could play out
...........
While Jermaine Johnson is my Lions preference in the #2 spot, it's close enough between him; the other 3 Defensive Edge Players most mentioned, and Ahmad Gardner that I would easily select Scenario 1 over the other 2 options. I would take Scenario 2 as my 2nd choice, slightly ahead of Option 3 but neither of those options is close to what I hope the Lions end up doing. I would be happy with the entire pick # 1 Scenario becoming a reality.

Here are a dozen options for Lions at the end of the first round ...........
If the Lions don't get a trade offer to move down from pick # 32 that's worth accepting and I can choose from the other 11 options presented in this article my order of preference would be:
1. WR Treylon Burks 2. S-CB Dax Hill 3. LB Quay Walker 4. S Lewis Cone 5. DT Travis Jones 6. WR Jahan Dotson 7. WR Christian Watson 8. LB Jaquan Brisker 9. QB Desmond Ridder 10 WR George Pickens.
The first 8 options are much better than the last 2 options.
