Detroit Lions free agency: T.J. Lang decision awaits in modest OL market
…………………………………..
This thread relates to the following thread:
Lions release G T.J. Lang
Assuming the Lions don't trade Rick Wagner this off-season, if the Lions plan is to keep Tyrell Crosby at Tackle, the Lions will likely look for a low cost Tackle to provide additional depth. If Crosby is a serious contender to be a starter at Guard, the Lions will need to make a larger investment at Tackle.
Cameron Fleming would probably be in the mix if the Lions view him as the top backup at Tackle.
Josh Wells easily could be in the mix as well for a backup Tackle role. Kyle O' Brien, the Lions VP of Player Personnel, was in the Jaguars Director of College Scouting when Wells was signed as an UDRFA in 2014.
The other Tackles mentioned in the article likely will get starting opportunities elsewhere or in the case of Darryl Williams at least have a realistic chance to win a starting job.
Depending how much the Lions want to spend, all of the interior Offensive Lineman mentioned in the article could be in the mix.

Trent Brown quickly agrees to terms with Raiders
……………………..
This seems like an insane contract. The Raiders learned practically nothing from the Giants experience with LT Nate Solder looking ordinary at best in his first season away from New England.

Report: Josh Sitton expects to be released by Dolphins
Dolphins cut Josh Sitton
………………..
If Josh Sitton gets a clean bill of health, even though he turns 33 in the spring, he would clearly be a starter at Guard for the Lions going into training camp. I hope the Lions have the opportunity to bring Sitton in for a visit. There are rumors that the Adam Gase coached Jets want to re-unite coach and player.
