2022 scouting combine: WR measurements reveal some surprises
...........
The University of Kentucky did Wan'dale Robinson a disservice by listing his height at 5'11". It's one thing to be off by around an inch. It's another for a player being 3 inches shorter than what he's listed at in college. Regarding draft stock, a change in perception of a player negatively, around 8 weeks before the draft he's in, is difficult to overcome.

Memphis receiver Calvin Austin impresses at the Scouting Combine
............
In addition to the game breaking ability Calvin Austin has as a receiver and when given the ball in the backfield on gadget plays, he also had a TD as a Punt Returner in each of his final two seasons with Memphis. My gut feeling at this time is Austin won't be available with the Lions own 3rd Round pick (# 66), the second pick of the round.

Lions present at USC WR Drake London's pro day
...........
It's not likely the Lions will end up drafting Drake London. He's probably going to fall in a spot in-between the spot the Lions make a selection with the pick # 2 draft resource (with pick # 2 or in a trade down) and then make a selection with the pick # 32 draft resource (with pick # 32 or in a trade up).

Even with ACL injury, Jameson Williams will be a very high pick
......
In the Mock Draft (without actual trades that haven't been reported) I'm putting together, the projection is Jameson Williams will be drafted by the Saints with pick # 16. I'm seriously thinking of projecting Williams to be drafted earlier.
The Falcons probably are a very realistic possibility for Williams with pick # 8.
The Jets at pick # 10 could come down to whether they will draft both a CB and Edge Rusher with pick # 4 and pick # 10 ( in either order. ) or draft a WR with pick # 10, after filling one of their two glaring Defensive needs at # 4.
If the Lions trade down to the pick # 8 or somewhat lower range, Williams would probably get serious consideration, if available. I'm still not anticipating the Lions getting a good enough offer to trade down from pick # 2.

NFL draft preview: Detroit Lions have plenty of options in loaded WR class ...........
Josh Reynolds also signed for more than one season. Reynolds signed a 2 year contract earlier this off-season to remain with the Lions.
Most of the WRs who likely are amongst the highest ranked WRs on the Lions Draft Board will probably be drafted after pick # 2 and before pick # 32. Christian Watson is probably the most likely (based on availability) WR the Lions would select in this draft with pick # 32, # 34, or close to that range.
