Lions training camp position preview: Wide receivers
...........
The Lions WR situation looks much more promising now than on March 2, when the previous post in this thread was made.
I'm currently anticipating the Lions going with 6 WRs on the 53 man roster to begin the regular season, unless Jamison Williams begins the season on the Regular Season PUP List. If that happens, then the decision whether to go with a 6th WR on the opening day 53 man roster will probably come down to Special Teams, when compared to other position units on the Lions Offense and Defense.

Where does the Lions WR corps rank? .........
The uncertainty of when Jamison Williams will return, his physical abilities when he's back, and the mental challenges associated with being a rookie WR in the NFL, is why I agree with the modest WR unit rankings for the Lions.
If D.J. Chark isn't back with the Lions for the 2023 season, that would create a huge hurdle for the Lions to be ranked as a top 10 WR Corp at this time next year.
