I expressed the following in that thread last week:

For Aaron Glenn to get an NFL HC job this winter, with the Lions coming off a 2 or 3 win season, it will take an NFL Owner with tremendous vision and courage to hire Glenn as HC in the coming weeks. Glenn might get one or more NFL HC interviews this winter. But it's highly likely that he won't get an NFL HC opportunity from another team until at least next winter.

The Texans fired HC David Culley yesterday. That makes 8 NFL teams that have fired their HC either during the season or after the regular season ended. The other 7 are Las Vegas (playoff team ), Jacksonville, Denver, Chicago, Minnesota, Miami, and the NY Giants. To the best of my knowledge, there have been no reports as of now, of a team (excluding the Broncos) that has plans on scheduling an interview with Glenn in the days and weeks ahead.

Nathaniel Hackett is a Broncos HC finalist, according to both reports mentioned in the article. Kevin O'Connell is a finalist in one of the two reports.

If Sean Payton decides to leave the Saints (as HC), they very likely will be rebuilding. My guess is Glenn would be in the mix to be the Saints next HC. Their current DC, Dennis Allen, who is a former HC of the Oakland Raiders, would likely also be in the mix for the Saints HC position.

I wasn't aware until this afternoon that the Lions wouldn't receive 2 Compensatory Draft Picks if Aaron Glenn became an NFL HC this off-season. The reason being is as followed:

According to the resolution, a team is eligible to receive draft pick compensation if the candidate in question has been "employed by the employer-club for a minimum of two years." There can be no break in employment between teams.

Someone mentioned this in information in a Tweet. The article confirmed this.

Whoever the Saints choice is for their HC opening, he's going to need a strong commitment from ownership & the their front office. A commitment reflected in his contract. The Saints need to find & develop a long term QB and get their problematic salary cap situation under control.
