Detroit Lions could still pursue Ezekiel Ansah
…………….
Ezekiel 'Ziggy' Ansah came off the PUP List during training camp and overall missed much less time in the 2018 training camp / pre-season combined than in 2017.
It seems much more likely than not that Ziggy Ansah will end up signing with another NFL team. Probably, a team with more salary cap space than the Lions

Detroit Lions likely won't use franchise tag, but may get burned by it…………………………… Bob Quinn is making it sound like that Ziggy Ansah's rehab is long and difficult. With significant uncertainty when he's cleared to practice and then for games.
Ansah's situation, especially factoring age ( he turns 30 in May ), is complex. The Lions likely will wait to see his market before making a decision whether to make him an offer he would consider accepting.

Report: Ziggy Ansah to take visits soon
…………….
With the Lions agreeing to a 5 year contract with Patriots UFA DE Trey Flowers, it's even more likely that Ziggy Ansah will be signing with another team. His medical situation is by far the # 1 issue with him as a UFA.

……………….
I hope Ziggy Ansah signs with the Bills because they are in the AFC and not on the Lions regular season schedule again until 2022.

Ziggy Ansah visiting Saints
……………………
The Saints already have a freakish athletic DE in Marcus Davenport. Combined with Cameron Jordan, one of the best all around DEs in the NFL, Ziggy Ansah ( if he's relatively healthy ) would give a 3-some at DE that could realistically give opposing Offenses the most problems off the edge.

A few more tidbits from Phoenix
Ziggy Ansah appears to be at least a few weeks — and perhaps many more — away from signing a free-agent deal. Ansah still is recovering from the torn labrum that ended his 2018 season with the Lions. He’s drawn serious interest from teams like the San Francisco 49ers, Buffalo Bills, Baltimore Ravens and New Orleans Saints, and could resume taking visits next month. The hope is that Ansah will be ready for the start of the 2019 season.
………………………….
With Ziggy Ansah turning 30 in May, his comeback from the shoulder injury will likely be more difficult than if he was a few years younger.

Ziggy Ansah visiting Ravens
………………………….
With the Ravens not on the Lions regular season schedule until 2021, I much rather Ziggy Ansah sign with them than any of the other 15 NFC teams.

Ziggy Ansah visits the Seahawks
………
One of Ziggy Ansah's best games was at Seattle on MNF in week # 4 in 2015. That was the intentionally batting the ball by LB K.J. Wright out of the end zone game. A play in which a penalty wasn't called that easily could have cost the Lions the game. Ansah was also a major bright spot in the 2016 season playoff loss at Seattle. Their team brass knows first hand what Ansah is capable of if relatively healthy.
