Detroit Lions are underdogs again in Week 15 for matchup with Tampa Bay Buccaneers
…………...….
The availability and effectiveness level of Jameis Winston, who is dealing with a thumb injury, makes this game difficult to predict. Ryan Griffin, the current # 2 QB of the Bucs, signed with the Saints as an UDFRA from Tulane, in 2013. Griffin threw his first 4 passes in an NFL regular season game in the Bucs win over the Colts this past Sunday.

PFT’s Week 15 picks
Buccaneers at Lions
MDS’s take: The Lions are reeling and the Buccaneers are still playing hard. Tampa Bay should put plenty of points on the board against a bad Lions defense. MDS’s pick: Buccaneers 35, Lions 21.
Florio’s take: Jameis Winston’s status is up in the air, but even if he can’t play the Bucs are the better team right now. Florio’s pick: Buccaneers 34, Lions 24.
……………..
Unless it's in garbage time in a one sided Bucs win, it's going to be a major uphill battle for the Lions to score even 21 points in this game. The Lions Offense is injury depleted. The Lions Defense is hurting up front in the interior.

Detroit News predictions: Lions vs. Buccaneers
…………….
David Blough is in a very difficult spot. Being w/o many of his weapons on Offense, two starting Offensive Lineman, and a Lions Defense that likely will struggle in part because of injuries at DT and Jarrad Davis being placed on I.R. would be hard to overcome for the best NFL QBs. For an UDRFA to be in this position, expectations are understandably low.

I won’t be watching today’s game; I’ll be on the road headed to California. I only watched the first half of last week’s game, before switching to the 49’ers/Saints game. It’s just getting more and more difficult to watch this mess.
My biggest interest this week is to see how RB Wes Hills, just signed off the squad, performs. And that’s only because he played college football at Slippery Rock, my stepdaughter’s alma mater.

Bo Scarbrough, Christian Jones join massive list of Lions players out against Bucs
………….
Joe, I hope you have a great trip to California.
Ironically, one of my other friend's was in Arizona ( Mesa ) for the last 10 to 14 days. Yesterday morning, heading to California, on the way back to British Columbia, Canada.
Wes Hills should get plenty of carries today. One thing for sure, Hills doesn't lack talent. It wouldn't surprise me if Hills is a bright spot for the Lions in this game.

Donovan Smith out, Devin White in for Bucs vs. Lions
……………….
Josh Wells, who started some games for the Jaguars ( before 2019 ) and was released when they cut down to 53 players this summer, is set to start at LT for the Bucs today.
Factoring in injuries with both teams, my prediction for this game is Bucs 26, Lions 13.
