Good decisions by John Elway.  The Broncos got the best of both worlds with the Vic Fangio and Gary Kubiak combination.  


The Bears still have tremendous talent on Defense.  But the loss of Vic Fangio is substantial for them until/ unless proven otherwise.  Fangio was an elite Defensive Coordinator.

It previously sounded like it was a done deal that Gary Kubiak would be the Broncos Offensive Coordinator. The Case Keenum related article mentioned that the Kubiak OC hire isn't official yet.  Unless Gary Kubiak's health isn't good enough for him to take the Broncos OC job, everything else seems to point to Kubiak being hired for that position.

Broncos expected to keep special teams coaches


The Broncos are expected to change the other two coordinators, with Gary Kubiak replacing Bill Musgrave as offensive coordinator and Joe Woods out as defensive coordinator.

But defensive line coach Bill Kollar and running backs coach Curtis Modkins could end up staying in Denver, Nicki Jhabvala of The Athletic reports.

Curtis Modkins was the Lions RB Coach from 2013 to 2015 ( one season under Jim Schwartz, two under Jim Caldwell ) before becoming the 49ers Offensive Coordinator in 2016. For part of that time with the Lions, he had the title of Run Game Coordinator.
